Interviewer Toolkit

Build a FinServ interview guide to help interviewers assess candidates' industry curiosity

1. Create a Notion page designed to help interviewers assess whether candidates demonstrate the curiosity, mindset, and interest needed to work effectively with Financial Services clients and workflows.

2. Ensure this resource is embedded into the hiring process for upcoming interviews (e.g. communicate it to hiring managers, integrate it into interviewer guides...).

3. Inform managers that Financial Services curiosity and engagement are now considered a formal evaluation criterion during interviews.

What the Notion page must cover

Why Financial Services knowledge and curiosity matter for this role (Use the content from this hub to support the narrative with concrete examples and workflow context.)
Guidance for interviewers on how to communicate the importance of Financial Services understanding to candidates during the interview process
Function-specific interview questions — include 2–3 questions per function (Sales, Marketing, HR) designed to assess:
  • Curiosity about Financial Services workflows
  • Interest in client environments and use cases
  • Ability to engage with industry-specific challenges
The goal is not to test technical domain expertise.
Evaluation guidance for interviewers — include examples of:
  • What strong answers typically look like
  • What may indicate low curiosity, low engagement, or weak alignment with the role
